7. BITQUERY & SERVICE LEVEL DATA

Bitquery is a blockchain intelligence company that stores processes and analyzes on-chain data. In order to map on-chain transaction data, we label addresses with of-chain entities. Such off-chain entities are companies that own or run wallets, tokens or smart contracts and never individuals. We take annotations from 4 off-chain sources:

  • Etherscan tags;
  • EtherScamDB;
  • Smart contracts sources;
  • Pre-moderated Manual annotations.

We do not label individual users and users’ wallets. Annotations can be edited by pressing icon on a transaction result page.

Bitquery doesn’t know the name of individuals transacting in centralized or decentralized exchanges. Bitquery only knows that a particular address belongs to a customer at that exchange. By using our proprietary Coinpath® technology, Bitquery can flag suspicious transactions based on the transaction history of these on-chain entities.
