Aster DEX API perp & spot streams over gRPC

The fastest way to read Aster. Bitquery streams every perp and spot trade, funding settlement, liquidation and order fill across all Aster markets as a binary gRPC firehose — so BTC, ETH, BNB and ASTER perps hit your bot in milliseconds. No node, no indexer, no infrastructure to run.

Pick your latency. Same Aster data underneath.

gRPC is the fastest feed we ship — binary, no serialization overhead. Step down to Kafka, WebSocket or GraphQL when durability or history matters more than raw speed.

Enterprise fixed-cost topics with offset replay — never miss a funding settlement or fill, backfill on reconnect.

Best for: pipelines, durability (Enterprise)

What streams

Every Aster event, in one stream.

One Aster subscription spans perps and spot — decoded into typed events, filterable by market, trader, side or event type.

Forget polling the Aster node

Polling the Aster node for perp data is a second full-time job.

Running your own indexer means an archive node, a decoder per market and reconnect logic — just to see the data. Bitquery hands you decoded perp and spot events.

What teams say about our data

"We did a thorough search of the market for the best onchain data. Bitquery came out on top — and now powers all live prices across Nansen. We don't think of them as a vendor. They're a partner."

Bitquery does the hard work of parsing blockchain transaction data into a usable form so that we don't have to. We use their interface to diagnose issues with complex transactions and their analytics as a starting point for our own.

They proved they had the technology to deliver sophisticated data solutions. We extended our support through the Binance X fellowship — building an open-source library of visualization widgets on their blockchain data.

The complex raw data is available at different levels of detail and from different viewpoints — whether we need simple aggregated transfers or parameters for failed contract calls. The support is responsive, friendly and quick.

Partnering with Bitquery has been highly cost-effective — leveraging their established infrastructure rather than building our own let us rapidly expand our blockchain support and reach a much broader segment of on-chain users.

Bitquery's products are very intuitive and easy to use. We currently use their products to obtain DEX-related trading and liquidity information, which saves us the manpower and tedious technical details required to develop our own system. Their excellent technical team deserves special praise; they provide near-24/7 support and resolve issues quickly. I greatly appreciate their products and work ethic.

FAQ

Aster DEX streaming, answered.

What is the Aster DEX API?
It is Bitquery's real-time and historical feed for Aster — decoded perp and spot trades, funding settlements, liquidations and order fills delivered over gRPC, Kafka, WebSocket and GraphQL, with no node or indexer to run.
How low is the latency?
The gRPC stream targets sub-300ms from block to your socket. Binary delivery avoids the JSON serialization overhead that slows other feeds.
Which Aster data can I stream?
Perp trades (long / short opens and closes), spot trades, per-market funding settlements, forced liquidations, order fills, plus multi-chain position and collateral flows feeding open interest — all on the V2 schema.
Do I need to run a node or indexer?
No. The feed is fully hosted — there is no Aster node, archive node or indexer to operate. You connect to the gRPC endpoint with an API key and subscribe to the markets and events you need.
Can I replay missed data?
Yes on Enterprise — fixed-cost Kafka topics provide guaranteed delivery and offset replay. Use GraphQL for historical backfills on the same V2 schema.
How do I get started?
Grab a free API key at account.bitquery.io, then connect to streaming.bitquery.io using the Aster examples in the docs.
