For law enforcement & government

Trace illicit crypto funds with AI investigation agents.

Follow the money across 40+ chains — through mixers and bridges — attribute wallets to real entities, and connect our data warehouse and 100M+ labels to AI agents that answer questions in plain English, trace wallets, build visualizations and reports on the fly, and automate investigations end to end.

The challenge

Illicit funds don't stop at the chain you're watching.

Suspects move value cross-chain, through mixers and bridges, faster than fragmented tooling can follow. Investigators stitch together a node, a decoder and a vendor per chain — and the trail goes cold before the evidence is built.

Funds move cross-chain and through mixers

Bridges, tumblers and chain-hops break the trail when your tooling only sees one ecosystem at a time.

Fragmented and costly tooling

A separate vendor, node and pipeline per chain drains budget and slows investigations to a crawl.

Evidence must be clear and reproducible

A case file needs source-verifiable data any third party can reproduce — not a black-box score.

How it works

From a single address to a defensible case file.

We index, decode, label and trace 40+ chains so investigators follow the money instead of building pipelines.

1

Trace

Follow funds multi-hop, wallet-to-wallet, across chains and through mixers and bridges with Coinpath®.

2

Attribute

Resolve each hop to a real entity — exchange, mixer, darknet market, ransomware or service.

3

Ask

Connect the data warehouse and 100M+ labels to AI agents and ask arbitrary questions in plain English.

4

Automate

Deploy investigation agents that trace wallets, build visualizations and reports, and run cases end to end.

What you get

Everything a crypto investigation needs.

AI investigation agents

Connect the data warehouse and 100M+ labels to AI agents — ask arbitrary questions in plain English, trace wallets, generate visualizations and reports on the fly, and deploy agents that automate investigations end to end.

Cross-chain fund-flow tracing

Coinpath® follows funds wallet-to-wallet across 40+ chains — multi-hop, from a single starting address.

Entity attribution

Attribute addresses to real-world entities using 100M+ labels — exchanges, mixers, darknet markets, ransomware and services.

Sanctions & risk screening

Flag exposure to OFAC-sanctioned addresses, mixers, scams and known bad actors at the address level.

Mixer & bridge follow-through

Indexed bridges and labeled mixer activity let you follow value across chains without losing the trail.

Historical evidence & export

Source-verifiable, reproducible on-chain history and timelines you can export into the case file.

Expert investigation support

Expert-led tracing, reporting and case support for complex multi-chain investigations.

"Bitquery provides the infrastructure we rely on every day. Fast, reliable, and comprehensive across the chains that matter to our business."

Bitquery does the hard work of parsing blockchain transaction data into a usable form so that we don't have to. We use their interface to diagnose issues with complex transactions and their analytics as a starting point for our own.

Alex Knaggs0x Protocol

They proved they had the technology to deliver sophisticated data solutions. We extended our support through the Binance X fellowship — building an open-source library of visualization widgets on their blockchain data.

Flora SunDirector, Binance X

The complex raw data is available at different levels of detail and from different viewpoints — whether we need simple aggregated transfers or parameters for failed contract calls. The support is responsive, friendly and quick.

Jan DreskeBackend Developer, Blockpit

Partnering with Bitquery has been highly cost-effective — leveraging their established infrastructure rather than building our own let us rapidly expand our blockchain support and reach a much broader segment of on-chain users.

Nick ChristieCo-Founder, Syla

Bitquery's products are very intuitive and easy to use. We rely on them for DEX trading and liquidity data — saving us the manpower and tedious technical details of building our own system. Their team gives near-24/7 support and resolves issues fast.

FAQ

Crypto investigations, answered.

How does Bitquery help law enforcement investigate crypto crime?
Bitquery provides on-chain investigation tools and data feeds used by law enforcement agencies, financial intelligence units (FIUs) and forensic firms. We trace fund flow across wallets and chains, attribute addresses to known entities — exchanges, mixers, ransomware, darknet markets — and produce timeline reports usable in case files.
Can I use AI agents to run investigations?
Yes. You can connect Bitquery's data warehouse and 100M+ labels to AI agents (via our MCP server and APIs) and ask arbitrary questions in plain English — trace a wallet, surface counterparties, generate visualizations and reports, and deploy investigation agents that automate repetitive steps end to end. The agent operates on verified, source-reproducible on-chain data, not a black-box score.
Can Bitquery trace stolen funds across multiple blockchains?
Yes. Our Coinpath® money-tracing API follows funds across Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Tron, Solana and 35+ other blockchains. We also track cross-chain bridges so investigators can follow funds from one chain to another without losing the trail.
Does Bitquery support cross-chain investigations and bridge tracking?
Yes. Cross-chain bridges are a primary obfuscation tool for criminals. Bitquery indexes major bridges (Wormhole, Stargate, LayerZero, Across and canonical L2 bridges) so you can follow funds from L1 to L2 or chain to chain without losing the trail.
How does Bitquery handle mixers, tumblers and privacy coins?
We label and cluster addresses associated with Tornado Cash, Wasabi, JoinMarket and other mixers, and tag the in/out of mixer activity for downstream analysis. Privacy coins with stronger guarantees (Monero, Zcash shielded transactions) have inherent limits on traceability, and we are transparent about those limits.
Can Bitquery's data be used as evidence?
Bitquery data is sourced directly from the public blockchains and is reproducible by any third party. Agencies and forensic experts use Bitquery-derived reports as supporting evidence in crypto-related cases. We also provide certified data exports and expert engagements upon request.
How do I request access to Bitquery's investigation tools?
Contact our team via the form on this page or email sales@bitquery.io. We onboard law enforcement agencies, FIUs and licensed forensic firms with dedicated infrastructure, training and case-support workflows beyond our standard plans.
